RECLAIMING THIRSTY THURSDAY: BETH CORMACK

RECLAIMING THIRSTY THURSDAY: BETH CORMACK

We’re somehow already a third of the way through January, and for many of you out there, a third of the way through a Dry January. Our team is approaching 2019’s start as a ‘Mindful January’: a month to reassess habits, routines, and the “whys.” While that includes abstaining from alcohol for a month, it also involves taking a holistic approach to why we do what we do every day, from eating to drinking to exercising to digital diets and relationships. Our teammate Katie recently sat down with bartender, small business owner, and social media extraordinaire, Beth Cormack, to chat about what it means to drink mindfully, and how to approach a “break” from alcohol.*

*We acknowledge that for many people, sobriety is a matter of life or death, and there is no break or choice. All comments on Dry January or “sober challenges” are based on our own experiences.

LET'S BE REAL: A candid conversation with Rebecca Peress, CEO + Founder of Swapples

Let’s Be Real: starting a business is hard, running a business is hard, making time to take care of yourself while running a business is hard. So we’re sitting down with some of our favorite female founders to chat about how they cope with the stress and live a balanced life.

Our first feature on the blog is Rebecca Peress, CEO + Founder of @swapples. We met Becca early on in our journey, and she’s been a constant source of positivity, energy, mentorship, and light. When one of us succeeds, we all succeed, and we’re so humbled to see Becca’s plant-based waffles taking off and making waves. (We low-key eat at least one a day).
