We’re all about cutting the unnecessary added sugars from our cocktails, and you will be too after too many debilitating hangovers. We realized pretty soon after we made The Nashville, that the ingredients are basically a tequila sunrise, minus the tequila. A traditional tequila sunrise utilizes orange juice and grenadine for that orangey, pink sunrise color, and sweet tropical taste. And contrary to popular belief, grenadine is not a cherry syrup, but is actually made from pomegranates. So, what better to do with our orange pomegranate switchel recipe than add tequila!
5 ounces The Nashville Switchel
2 ounces tequila (or mezcal)
Orange slice for garnish
Pour The Nashville and tequila into a highball, over ice. Stir. Garnish with an orange slice.
